The Palmyra-Macedon Central School District Transportation Department strives each day to ensure efficient and safe transportation of students and staff throughout our district and beyond. Our fleet includes over 50 buses and vehicles which regularly undergo rigorous testing to ensure we operate as safely as possible.
To that end, we recently introduced Tyler Drive, a GPS and student accountability system which was implemented in early 2019. The program, which is used in grades K-5, empowers students to be accountable for their onboarding and exiting process while providing drivers easy-to-read maps and information on tablets mounted on the bus. Turn-by-turn instructions allow substitute bus drivers to be more confident and to safely navigate routes, without having to use a binder of papers to follow routes and determine stops. The new system also allows the Transportation Department to follow at the transportation office with computer tracking.
Should you have any questions regarding district transportation, please do not hesitate to contact us at 315-597-3408. If you wish to change the transportation information of your student after the registration deadline, please contact our office for details.
As a reminder, when the district is closed due to weather, we do not provide transportation to any other school.
