Pal-Mac Caring Cupboard
We are excited to announce the opening of our new school-based food pantry, the Pal-Mac Caring Cupboard. This is made possible through the generous support of Foodlink, Wayne County Community Schools, and community donations.
The Pal-Mac Caring Cupboard is located at Palmyra-Macedon High School and is available to any family with children enrolled in the school district who may need assistance.
PANTRY HOURS
The pantry will be open weekdays from 8:00 A.M.-3:30 P.M., by appointment only. Please do not show up without an appointment.
REQUESTING FOOD
To request food, families will need to complete a simple form or call 315-597-3400 ext. 1806. Families may access the pantry up to two times per month.
Once your request is received, a box of food will be prepared for pickup at the High School. If you do not have transportation, we will work with Wayne County Community Schools to arrange for delivery.
Families will be able pick up their food box in the High School bus loop at scheduled time. Deliveries may be provided by Wayne County Community Schools staff for families without transportation.
Some of the food in our pantry is provided through The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) initiative. As a result, families need to complete a confidential Attestation Form once a year
Our Community Schools Coordinator is also available to assist with additional resources if your family is experiencing ongoing food insecurity.
Our goal is to ensure that no student or family goes without access to nutritious food. If you have any questions or would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
