I am aware of a post circulating on social media in which a Pal-Mac family indicates that they are experiencing symptoms that they worry are caused by COVID-19.
As a precaution, I personally contacted the WCPH director and have confirmed that as of 4:40 p.m., Thursday, March 12, there are no known confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Pal-Mac.
Anyone who has symptoms should seek medical attention. If you continue to have symptoms previously reported, seek medical attention.
Some reminders to help reduce the spread of virus-related illnesses include:
- Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth by keeping hands away from face;
- Stay home when sick;
- Use a tissue one time and throw it in the trash. Wash hands or use hand sanitizer immediately following;
- Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds; and
- Use good cough or sneeze etiquette by coughing or sneezing into the crook of the arm or into a tissue which is then disposed of immediately; wash hands.
If any information changes related to the Palmyra-Macedon Central School District, families will be notified.
