MARCH 19, 2025—A group of Pal-Mac Middle School students are joining together to provide resources for families in need.
Addison Israel, Brogan Fielding, and Sarah George Monday launched a donation drive to bring in hygiene products. The drive is part of their Girl Scout Silver Award project.
As part of the drive, the students are accepting the following items:
- Shampoo/Conditioner
- Bar Soap
- Toothbrushes/Toothpaste
- Deodorant/Body Wash
- Dental Floss
- Feminine Hygiene Products
- Cleaning Products
- Mouthwash
- Combs/Brushes

The trio set up donation tubs at all four school buildings. All hygiene products collected will be given to families in need in conjunction with the District’s Caring Cupboard.
The plan is to turn the donated goods into roughly 250 kits for families in need.
“We want to make sure that everyone has an equal chance and a fair chance to get what they need,” Israel said. “We know the direct connection and how people struggle and how we can help.”
Israel and George said the group knew they wanted to give back to their school community, but had to brainstorm how. They met with several District and building leaders before determining there was a need for more hygiene products.
“We learned people have to choose between hygiene products and food products,” Israel said. “So we wanted to make sure that people could get the products that they needed.”
The drive runs through the end of the March. Items must be dropped off during school hours.
“It's been wonderful because we know that we're really going to make a difference within our school and within our district,” George said. “We're really going to be helping a lot of families and students. It's just a great feeling to have.”
