MARCH 18, 2026 — Gratitude and kindness took the spotlight at the Pal-Mac Middle School Tuesday night as   the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) hosted its 2026 Appreciation Banquet.

The heartfelt tradition includes students personally honoring those who have inspired them as leaders and learners.

The event opened with a lively performance by the PMMS Jazz Band followed by opening remarks from NJHS President Adley Ossont and Vice President Ben Combs.

Then, one by one, members took the mic to share why they invited their special guests, which included family members, faculty, and community members, among others.

Following the tributes, the program transitioned into student recognition and closing remarks, where the Chapter reflected on the pillars of NJHS: scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.

The event was made possible through the collaborative effort of several departments and individuals. Special thanks were extended to Middle School Principals Ms. Christina Sloane and Mr. Neil Fralick, Dean of Students Colleen Moquin, and Ms. Kathy Haynes.

A dinner was also provided by our fantastic Food Services team, guided by director Mrs. Elesha Wheeler.

Congratulations to all our NJHS members and the mentors who continue to shape their journey.
