- Palmyra-Macedon Middle School
MAY 20, 2024— To commemorate Mental Health Month in May, the Middle School Counseling Department hosted a special event with a focus on wellness.
The inaugural "Wellness Day Fair” was held in the school’s LGI on Friday, May 17. The fair featured informational sessions that promoted both physical and mental well-being.
Students and staff could meet with counselors from Wayne Behavioral Health Network, learn more about Wayne County Community Schools, meet with a nutritionist, and even pet a few therapy dogs, among other activities.
“We were excited to pilot this first Wellness Day for students and anticipate its growth in the future!” the counseling department said in an email. “We thank you for your support in promoting the holistic well-being of our school community.”

Other vendors included Wayne County Emergency Medical Services and Family Counseling Services of the Finger Lakes.
