FEB.14, 2025— The Intermediate School surprised and recognized a long-time member of its Food Services team Friday morning.

Mrs.Terri Hopkins has served the District for more than 20 years, and she always has a bright smile on her face!

She was surprised at the school's special Building-Wide Morning Meeting with hand-written messages of gratitude on hearts. Every single classroom in the building wrote her a message.

Principal Jenn Check says teachers were looking for the perfect time to recognize Mrs.Terri for her efforts to serve students a healthy lunch, as well as her welcoming attitude. They chose to present the letters at the meeting because it capped off the school's Kindness Week.

Hopkins complimented the "beautiful" recognition, but also chose to put the spotlight on her fellow team members in the cafeteria.

"We try to have fun in the kitchen," Hopkins said. "We love our kids and we just try to do what we can to have them have a good day. They make our day, every single one of them, we just love them."
