NOV.12, 2025— The Palmyra-Macedon Central School District Board of Education (BOE) held its November meeting in the Intermediate School Cafeteria on Wednesday, Nov.5.

Among some of the special moments was the presentation of the 2025 Friend of Education Award, which was presented to Palmyra King’s Daughters. Lisa Premyslovsky accepted the award on behalf of the organization.

The nonprofit organization provides philanthropic support to the school district and community.

Next, Intermediate School Principal Jennifer Check introduced some of the new staff members at PMI.

Several students then joined Mrs.Check to provide the Board with updates around the school. The students are a part of the school’s Welcome Team, which also goes by the name of “Pal Maps.” 

The students shared personalized messages of gratitude for each Board member that included fun facts, and words of gratitude, among other messages. (Video above)

Another group of students then shared an interactive activity with the Board as part of their world language class.
