FEB.5, 2025– A group of Pal-Mac High School students got a peek into what business education is all about during a visit to the Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship last Friday.

The trip provided an in-depth look at the institute’s curriculum, technology, and opportunities for aspiring business professionals.

Students started their day with a Master Class on the economy, led by Dr. Nathan Harris, Faculty & Special Assistant to the Chief Academic Officer. The session explored economic trends and their impact on business decisions.

Next, students participated in a live demonstration on artificial intelligence in business, hosted by Graham Anthony, Assistant Vice President for Education Technologies and Innovation. The session showcased AI tools currently used in industries, which offered students a glimpse into how businesses use the technology to enhance their decision-making.

The group then toured the Golisano campus, and listened to an admissions session, where they learned about academic programs and financial aid.

Golisano Institute credits can transfer toward an associate degree at most Rochester colleges and Syracuse University.

The visit concluded with lunch and a stop at the student-run store, where Golisano students sell their own products.

Teacher Joe Hill said the trip was an “engaging and insightful experience” for the students.

The experience reinforced Pal-Mac’s commitment to career exploration and providing extracurricular opportunities for our students.
