OCT.13, 2023— Members of the Pal-Mac varsity football team Thursday recognized staff members who have had a positive impact on them, and they did it with a special gift.

 

Players surprised the staff member of their choice and presented them with their game jerseys to wear at school the next day.

 

The effort is part of a much larger recognition campaign across the county called "My Jersey, Your Impact."

 

This was the first time Pal-Mac has taken part in the campaign, which normally focuses on senior athletes. But this time, it involved the entire team.

 

"This means so much to me," said lunch aide Brenda Dandino.

 

"It's like the best gift ever," said Middle School teacher Colleen Sousa.

 

Athletic Department Secretary Kate Larocca coordinated with the team, and says there are plans for other teams to get involved in the effort down the line.
