SEP.18, 2025—Pal-Mac's student Board of Education (BOE) members joined other student leaders Wednesday for a day of connection, learning, and leadership.

Lily Cooley and Dane Hartwell participated in the Four County School Boards Association's (4CSBA) Leadership Summit at the Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES campus in Newark.

The event, led by Palmyra-Macedon CSD Superintendent Dr. Bob Ike, featured a virtual welcome from New York State Education Department leaders, followed by activities where students shared ideas, built relationships, and explored the effects of their roles on local boards.

Lily and Dane shared their overall vision for their term on the Board, which began back in July. They also had the opportunity to speak with other superintendents in the region.

"I really enjoy working with the Board members," Cooley said. "They're so understanding and just a great group of people who are willing to work with you."

Pal-Mac Board of Education Vice President Dave Landon was among those in attendance Wednesday.

The day was part of a joint effort between the four counties and the New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA)
