JAN.30, 2024— A group of Primary and Middle School student-athletes recently received some hardware for their hard work in a competition late last year.
Seven students each received several medals and ribbons after competing in the Empire State Games for the Physically Challenged back in October.
The competition, held at the State University of New York at Brockport, offers competitions in a variety of adapted sports, plus fitness for young athletes.
Ribbons and medals recipients are scored compared to kids their own age, among other categories.
The students were honored at two separate ceremonies in January.
