Voters in the Palmyra-Macedon Central School District approved the 2023-24 district budget. Click on this article to learn more.
MAY 16, 2023— Voters in the Palmyra-Macedon Central School District approved the 2023-24 district budget (477 yes votes to 169 no votes) on Tuesday, May 16.
The budget totals $48,586,000 with a 1.7% tax levy increase.
Voters also approved the expenditure of Bus Purchase Reserve funds not to exceed $170,000 for the purchase of one full-size replacement school bus. (505 yes votes to 141 no votes)
Additionally, voters approved a move to allow the District to begin providing transportation to all students in Grades 1-5 who reside within the District and who reside less than fifteen (15) miles from their school of attendance. This will take effect in the 2023-2024 school year. (524 yes votes to 120 no votes)
Additionally, Susan Herendeen, Sherry Lambert, Laura Arrington, and Sarah Newman were elected to the Pal-Mac Board of Education. All four will retain their seats.
Herendeen, Arrington and Lambert will serve three year terms. Newman will serve a partial term.
