MAY 27, 2026—The cast and crew of Pal-Mac’s spring musical production of “Chicago: Teen Edition” added more honors to their trophy case Tuesday night, including a major award.

The production was named Best Musical Production at the 30th annual Elenbe Awards, which were held at Newark High School. This was the first time the program received the top award of the night since their 2023 production of “Mary Poppins.”

In a speech, Theater Director Mrs. Kimberly Day took time to thank the assembled cast and crew for their hard work throughout the production process.

In addition to best musical, Pal-Mac received 10 awards or runner up nods throughout the evening.

This was the latest in a growing number of honors the production received, as its cast and crew recently received a total of 16 awards or recognitions at the Rochester Broadway Theater League (RBTL) Stars of Tomorrow Awards earlier this month.

Cast and crew received a special escort from local fire departments back to the high school Tuesday night.
