JUNE 20, 2023— The Palmyra-Macedon Central School District celebrated the Class of 2023 during the 2023 Graduation ceremony at Lincoln Hill Farms in Canandaigua on Thursday, June 15.

148 Pal-Mac seniors crossed the stage, and into their futures as graduates of the District.

The evening provided a beautiful backdrop for a wonderful outdoor ceremony. This was the second year the venue hosted the event.

“We have all been blessed by these young adults who will soon be named graduated," said Superintendent Dr. Bob Ike. "But tonight we honor these graduates as 148 blessings themselves, each with the ability to make a positive difference in the world.”

The evening also featured speeches from Valedictorian Katherine Perry , Salutatorian Charlotte Sanson, Principal Andy Wahl, and Board of Education President Laura Arrington.

The full ceremony was live streamed on the District YouTube page. (Video and link above)

"The fact of the matter is that we’ve done it we’ve been able to adapt to face each obstacle as they arise, but also to enjoy each success," Perry said. "Such resilience and open mindedness is something to hold onto, because the past is important, but it is ultimately just that, the past. While we should remember and reflect upon it; we are all moving onto the next phase of our lives be at work or college or another many options.”

Following the speeches, it was time to present each student with their diplomas. The seniors then traditionally moved their tassels from the left to the right, and were officially recognized as graduates.

After the ceremony wrapped up, grads were welcomed to stay on the LHF grounds to celebrate the Senior Last Bash, which featured games, music and food.

Thank you to all of our wonderful organizers who put in a tremendous effort to make the evening so special. Further thanks to Lincoln Hill Farms for supporting our organizers in the effort. We'd also like to thank our families, and of course the graduates!
