JUNE 13, 2025—With loud cheers, and a flip of the cap, the Class of 2025 officially became Pal-Mac alums Thursday night.

The District celebrated the class during the annual Graduation Ceremony, which was held at Lincoln Hill Farms in Canandaigua. This was the fourth year the venue has hosted the ceremony.

The evening started with a performance of the national anthem by the award-winning High School Select Choir. This was followed by speeches from High School Principal Andy Wahl, Salutatorian Elise Tome, Valedictorian Lily Boesel, and Board of Education President Laura Arrington.

Tome, a three-sport athlete and first-ever Seal of Biliteracy recipient, touched on the inevitability of endings and the importance of embracing new beginnings.

"For some of us this may have been the best chapter of our lives, but for others and may have been the hardest," Tome said. "But one thing is certain, we all know have the chance to start fresh, to do things differently."

Boesel, also a three-sport athlete and Academic All-American, reflected on the beauty of living in the moment and reminded her classmates not to rush through life chasing what’s next.

"Please don't become a stranger," Boesel said. "Text me about what's new in your life, about what's happening in college. Say hi to me at the mall and at the grocery store, invite me to your weddings and baby showers because I want to still know you. I want to look back at all the memories we made together. Remember we're only getting older, so slow it down."

Tome then joined fellow class officers Ryan Fink and Lia Donaher in presenting the senior gift: Several Pal-Mac canopy tents to be used at events including the Wayne County Fair.

Then, it was time to present the diplomas. One-by-one, students stepped up to the stage, smiled for a picture, and received their diplomas. A crowd of family members and friends awaiting with phones and cheers as they captured moment after moment.

This brought us to the final moments where each student moved their tassels and officially graduated.

The District would like to congratulate the Class of 2025 and wish them all the best in whatever they choose to do in their next chapters!

Special thanks to all of our behind-the-scenes crew for their hard work in making the ceremony possible. Additional thanks to Mr.Kevin Schlegel and his students for their efforts in providing the live stream on the District YouTube page.
