JULY 1, 2025—The Palmyra-Macedon Central School District would like to congratulate a fantastic group of four students on being named Students of the Year for the 2024-25 school year.

The annual award is presented to a student from each school building based on a nomination from their teachers. To be nominated, a student must demonstrate citizenship, commitment, and participation in their school and community.

Students typically receive the award from the Board of Education, the teacher who nominated them, and their building principal. Some students received their awards during their building’s respective award ceremonies, while others received the recognition at their homes.

 

Morgan Adamson (High School)

Morgan (center) was recognized for her character, leadership, and integrity, among other highlights. The 2025 graduate excelled in and out of the classroom, as she took classes through Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC), and participated in the High School Select Choir, High School Band, and the Theater Department.

Aubrey Young (Middle School)

Aubrey was recognized for being well-rounded as she goes above and beyond with her coursework while also balancing her roles with the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) as well as several athletic teams.

 

Cecelia Lofgren (Intermediate School)

Cecelia was recognized for her efforts to make a positive impact on the world around her. She's known to constantly volunteer to help out with a friend in need, or even another classmate.

 

Xander Wood (Primary School)

Xander was recognized for his quiet leadership and for always doing the right thing. He's known as "Gummy Worm Boy" by the Varsity Boys Lacrosse team, as he attends every game and provides a snack for the players.
