NOV.19, 2025—A new effort between a group of Primary and High School students is blending learning with a lot of fun.

Monday was the first-ever "Ag in Action: Fall Edition" event, coordinated by Pal-Mac's new Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter and High School Agriculture students.

As part of the event, the high schoolers guided groups of kindergarteners through a series of engaging activities aimed at promoting cross-grade collaboration and teaching students the journey of a pumpkin and the fall harvest.

The first station was titled "Story Time and the Seed Cycle," where students gathered to hear a reading of the book, The Pie That Molly Grew. Following the story, FFA members explained the process of agriculture by demonstrating the journey of a pumpkin, from sowing the initial seed to watching it mature.

A group of young students, some wearing red hoodies, are gathered around a table, engaged in what appears to be a classroom or educational setting, with various equipment and supplies visible in the background.

Next up was a trip to a coloring station, where high schoolers assisted their new friends with an activity that reinforced the lessons of the day.

The favorite station of the day was the "kitchen." FFA members helped students create a "pumpkin pie in a bag" snack. This fun, no-bake activity allowed students to mix ingredients and instantly connect their learning to a real-world product, which brought the agriculture cycle full circle.

FFA students will return to the school on Thursday to share the same experience with some more classes.

Beyond the activities, Agriculture Teacher Ms.Camry Semans said the FFA Chapter also donated six of The Pie That Molly Grew books as a way to make the book available for each classroom that participated.

The Ag program regularly posts classroom updates on both its website and Facebook page.
