SEP.26, 2025—The Palmyra-Macedon Central School District is excited to welcome back alumni and community members as part of its annual Homecoming weekend Friday, Oct.3- Saturday, Oct.4

The weekend will be filled with athletic events, school spirit, and lots of memories!

The action kicks off Friday evening with the annual community parade in Palmyra and culminates with the Varsity Football game later that night.

Several  Pal-Mac athletic teams will then take the field or court throughout the day on Saturday. Below is a guide for the weekend, including a rundown of events, and other need-to-know information.

HOMECOMING EVENTS AND GAMES (OCT.3-OCT.4)

FRIDAY, OCT.3

Wear Pal-Mac Red and White

FOOTBALL GAME

The Red Raiders will take on Newark/Marion, with kickoff beginning at 7:00 p.m immediately following the National Anthem. The game will be livestreamed on the Pal-Mac Athletics YouTube channel for those who cannot make it to the game. 

Like with any other regular season Pal-Mac athletic competition, there is no admission fee.

 

FOOD TRUCKS/CONCESSIONS

• Booster Club concessions are available before and during the game.
• Food trucks from a variety of vendors will be available beginning Friday at 4:30 p.m. by the softball field.

FIREWORKS

The main fireworks display will happen during halftime of the Varsity Football game, sometime around 8 p.m. A few fireworks will also be launched during the performance of the National Anthem before the game. 

Residents may also hear some wind-testing fireworks launched by the technician during setup earlier in the day.

Fireworks will be launched from a soccer field south of the Middle School, and a map of the display area is enclosed with this letter.  

The Palmyra Fire Department and South Macedon Fire Department will be on site to conduct a fire watch and provide fire protection during the fireworks display. 

 

PARADE

The parade will begin at 6:00 p.m. The parade route will begin along Birdsall Parkway heading north and will then head down West Jackson Street, south on Stafford Street, and West Foster Street, before ultimately ending in the high school parking lot along Hyde Parkway.

If a child PreK - Grade 6 is participating in the Friday night parade, be sure to drop your child with a designated adult at the Wayne County Fairgrounds between 5:30 and 5:45 p.m. 

You will be able to meet with/pick your child up at the flagpole in front of the Middle School following the parade. (No child should be staying for the game on Friday night without a parent.)

 

SATURDAY, OCT.4

FOOD TRUCKS

Food trucks will again be on-site beginning at 11 a.m.

 

SATURDAY GAMES

Pal-Mac will host several Red Raider sporting events on Saturday. The first scheduled game is the JV girls soccer match at 9 a.m. The last scheduled game is boys varsity soccer at 2 p.m.

OTHER INFORMATION

ACCESSIBILITY

Handicapped parking is located at the rear of the Middle School by the baseball field. Permits must be displayed in plain sight.

ATTIRE

We encourage everyone to wear their Pal-Mac red and white as they cheer on our teams

FAN CONDUCT/SUPERVISION

The school district, the Palmyra Police Department, and Macedon Police Department will provide supervision for this event. Expectations are high for a positive, fun-filled evening of school spirit.

All children below Grade 7 must be accompanied by a parent/adult for all Friday/Saturday Homecoming events. Students in this age group who are unaccompanied will be asked to phone home and get a ride. A designated pickup point will be identified as accompanied children will not be allowed to remain on campus for Homecoming events.

All event attendees regardless of age are expected to follow the established guidelines and adhere to all directions provided by event chaperones and supervisors. Any individual who does not follow the established standards will be asked to leave the premises.

All areas under construction must be avoided at all times.

All attendees must leave school property at the end of the game.
