JAN.17, 2024—The Pal-Mac Varsity Wrestling team are Section V Division II Team Champions!!!
The number one-seeded Red Raiders rolled to a 49-22 win over #2 Attica/Batavia at Attica High School Tuesday night.
Pins were recorded by Declan Atkinson, Jared Haers, Luke Herendeen, Cody Quick, Steve Schulz, and Luke VanGorden. Kadin Gerber and Zach Rooks also added wins. This marks the second time Pal-Mac took home the title under Head Coach Ed Schafer.
The team defeated #5 Dansville 57-15 in the semifinal round.
Next up, the team will travel to Syracuse to compete in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Dual Meet Wrestling Championships, at Onondaga Community College.
