- Pal-Mac Athletics
APRIL 16, 2025—Several Pal-Mac student-athletes were named to Winter 2024/25 All-Greater Rochester teams.
The teams are selected based on input from coaches and local sportswriters.
Congrats to the following student-athletes:
FIRST TEAM
Zach Rooks and Luke VanGorden (Wrestling-Division 2) and George Newsome (Boys Swimming)
This is the second straight year all three were named to the First Team. Rooks and VanGorden represented Pal-Mac in New York State Championships in Albany for the second year in a row. Rooks will compete at Division One Bloomsburg University in the Fall, while VanGorden says he plans to own his own business.
Newsome also represented Pal-Mac in States while also breaking several school records. He will return for his senior season next year.
SECOND TEAM/ HONORABLE MENTIONS
Taryn Goodness (Second Team- Girls Basketball), Shelby Geer (Honorable Mention- Girls Basketball), Georgia Wirth (Honorable Mention- Girls Basketball)
