First, the swimming and diving took home the Finger Lakes League Championship at Churchville-Chili, as the team made a huge splash across several team and individual events. As a team, Pal-Mac took first in the 200 Medley Relay and the 400 Free Relay.

Individual first place titles were earned by: George Newsome (100 Backstroke, 100 Butterfly), Kyler Pallo (200 Individual Medley), Jay Sanson (200 Freestyle Mixed, 500 Freestyle), and Mason Trail (Diving).

Additionally, it was a huge day for George Newsome, who was named Outstanding Performer of the Meet, and Finger Lakes League Co-Outstanding Senior Swimmer. He also added a New York State qualifying time, school record, and Churchville-Chili pool record in the 100 Butterfly (53.36), and the 100 Backstroke (52.77).

Mason Trail also recorded a new record for diving with a time of 366.70. Next up for the boys is a trip to the Sectional round, which will also be held at Churchville-Chili on Feb. 6.

Adding to the trophy case, the wrestling team was crowned Wayne-Finger Lakes League Champions during the league tournament at Waterloo High School. Pal-Mac competed against 15 other regional teams to earn the top spot.

Several Pal-Mac wrestlers also earned individual league titles including Cole Baker, Noah Murray, and John Turner. Next up for the team is a trip to the Section V Class B1 Wrestling Championships, which will take place at the Wayland-Cohocton Field House on Feb. 7.
