About Our School
Located in southwestern Wayne County, the Palmyra-Macedon Central School District enjoys the benefits of a rural atmosphere and a close proximity to Monroe County and the City of Rochester. The historic Erie Canal extends through the boundaries of the School District. The Village of Palmyra is home to cultural and historic venues; the Towns of Macedon and Palmyra are home to industry with longstanding roots as well as numerous commercial opportunities and recent developments.
The Palmyra-Macedon Central School District has strong ties to numerous community recreation programs in addition to the wealth of opportunities in the surrounding area. Opportunities exist for walking, kayaking, and bicycling, as well as numerous local shopping opportunities from antiques to retail. Pal-Mac has a strong tradition of family and community involvement with parents playing an integral role in our school.
The Palmyra-Macedon Central School District covers 48.5 square miles with two elementary schools (the Intermediate School in Macedon and the Primary School in the Village of Palmyra) and a District Campus consisting of the Middle School and High School.
The District campus at 151 Hyde Parkway, Palmyra uniquely occupies the border for the Towns of Macedon and Palmyra.
