OCT.31,2022— With one kick late into the first overtime,  the Pal-Mac girls varsity soccer team won its second-straight Section V (Five) Class B1 title on Friday night. The Red Raiders took on the Aquinas Institute at Webster Thomas High School. 


After going scoreless in regulation, the two teams battled back and forth throughout overtime, and then it was time for Pal-Mac to shine. Junior Maya Ikewood took a pass from teammate Sophie Barclay and sent a shot through the goal with 3:18 left on the clock  to give the Red Raiders the 1-0 victory.


The goal was the 100th goal of her career.


The Red Raiders will face undefeated Class B2 champion Haverling  in the New York State Far West Regional on Tuesday. The match will be played at the Penn Yan Academy at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 in cash at the door, or a digital ticket will cost $7.30  Check our Athletics Scheduling page for the latest time and location details.
