
OCT.21, 2022 — A training focused for adults living or working with teens is coming to Palmyra in just a couple of weeks. The Council on Alcoholism and Addictions of the Finger Lakes, in collaboration with the Palmyra-Macedon Central School District will present "Hidden in Plain Sight."
The training features a mock teenager's bedroom constructed with various signs of substance use hidden throughout. Participants will be given time to search the bedroom looking for items/ clues indicating this teen has been engaging in substance use. Following this opportunity will be a presentation of current substance use trends amongst teens, and an explanation of all of the hidden items in the bedroom.
The training will take place on the third floor of the Palmyra Community Library, which is located at 402 East Main Street. The presentation will run from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
This opportunity is for adults ONLY. There will be childcare available at the library, but you MUST register ahead of time. Registration for childcare starts at 5:30 p.m. and runs until 5:45,
