JAN.2, 2023— Are you feeling helpless in the face of your child's dependence on social media and their smartphone?  The Palmyra-Macedon Central School District is pleased to welcome a guest speaker who can help.

Author and nationally renowned specialist, Ana Homayoun will  be visiting the District on Tuesday, Jan. 31 for an interactive talk on Social Media Wellness.

During the free event, Homayoun will show parents how to work with their teens to foster self-control, security, and wellbeing in a continuously connected digital world. 

Homayoun is a noted teen and millennial expert, author, speaker and educator. Her latest book, Social Media Wellness: Helping Tweens and Teens Thrive in an Unbalanced Digital World, discusses modern social media dilemmas and offers prescriptive solutions. Her work has also been featured in major publications.

The presentation will take place on the 31st from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the High School Lower Cafe. Homayoun will also speak to students throughout the day.

Homayoun's book, Social Media Wellness, will be in circulation at both the Palmyra and Macedon Public Libraries and can be ordered for purchase at The Dog Eared Book Bookstore located at 450 East Main Street, Palmyra.
