A Word About Field Trips (as published annually in the school calendar notices)

The Palmyra-Macedon Central School District provides students with a variety of educational, cultural, and recreational experiences to help them understand and enjoy the world around them.

Curricular field trips are required of students enrolled in certain grade-levels and/or courses of study. They are approved and recognized as appropriate times for academic credit and are intended to support the achievement of a prescribed curricular outcome.

Field trips are a part of the District's basic educational bus program and normally occur during the regular school day. Specific details regarding each educational trip will be provided to parents prior to any trip. If, as in most cases, the place to be visited is beyond walking  distance, children will ride a school bus.

The elements of the Code of Conduct apply. Parents must ensure that a child's emergency medical and contact information and any special food provisions are up to date with notifications to the School Health Office for any changes throughout the school year.

NOTE: Activities that occur at Pal-Mac facilities are not considered field trips and occur routinely as part of the school year activities.
