2019-20 Pal-Mac school calendar available

As the 2019-20 Palmyra-Macedon Central School District school year begins, the calendar for the new year is on the minds of many.  


The first school holiday for the year is Columbus Day which is set for Monday, October 14.  The October holiday is paired with a professional development day preceding the holiday on Friday, October 11 at which time students will not be in session but teachers and staff will report.  There will be no school in session on Veterans Day Monday, November 11. 


The Thanksgiving holiday is set for Wednesday, November 27 – Friday, November 29.  Winter Break will follow and begin Monday, December 23 with school reopening on Monday, January 6.  


Martin Luther King Jr. Day will occur on Monday, January 20 and there will be no school on this day.  February recess will take place Monday, February 17 – Friday, February 21. In March, there will be a professional development day on Friday, March 13 with no school for students.


Spring Break is set for Monday, April 6 – Monday, April 13 with school to reopen on Tuesday, April 14.  The final holiday for the school year will be Memorial Day which will be Friday, May 22 – Monday, May 25.


Early dismissal days are scheduled for Thursday, October 3, Friday, December 13, Thursday, January 23 and Thursday, March 12.  Release times for early dismissal days will vary across the district so be sure to check with each school for specific times.


The final day for students will be Thursday, June 25 with the school year formally concluding on Friday, June 26 with a professional development day.

Print copies of the calendar have been mailed to the primary residence of each Pal-Mac student.  Print copies are also available at Macedon Town Hall, Palmyra Town Hall, Palmyra Village Hall, Macedon Library and Palmyra Community Library.  Be sure to consult the printed district calendar for important dates and information.
