Wayne County recently has had a RED ALERT for high risk of COVID transmission.

The district has been advised by Public Health that individuals have been experiencing "COVID fatigue" and following the safety protocols has not been a priority.

There are also reports of several new cases of COVID-19 within our community. Spread has been occurring at non-school events. We ask our school community to continue to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by wearing a mask, washing hands, practicing social distancing, and avoiding any large gatherings.

NOTE: The district is not able to remove your contact information from the daily safety alert requesting attestation of student/staff health. To maintain high standards of health so that school is able to remain open, these alerts remain necessary until such time there is no longer a health advisory in Wayne County.

The District will continue to adhere to New York State guidelines to create the safest possible learning environment for students and staff. This includes the cleaning and disinfection of exposed areas, with such cleaning and disinfection to include, at a minimum, all heavy transit areas and high-touch surfaces as detailed by the Centers for Disease Control.

All students and staff are to complete the daily health screenings prior to boarding a school bus or coming to school. Students and staff should not come to school when feeling ill. We ask our school community to continue to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by wearing a mask, washing hands, practicing social distancing, and avoiding any large gatherings.

Questions should be directed to the Wayne County Public Health Department at 315-946-5749.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
