AUG. 17, 2022— The Palmyra-Macedon Central School District is excited to welcome students back for the 2022-2023 school year. Before we get the ball rolling officially, our schools will be hosting an orientation at their respective buildings on Tuesday, Aug. 30.
Below you will find a guide to each school’s orientation day plans. (Information is subject to change, so stay tuned for updates)
Pal-Mac High School
Time: 8:45AM - 12:15PM
What to expect: The freshman students are encouraged to join us for a morning in the high school. They will receive a tour of the building, have an opportunity to get their schedule, and meet some of the staff in our building. We will provide a pizza lunch, and cap off the morning with a class photo. Transportation CAN be provided for home addresses in the PM school district.
Register by Friday, Aug. 19. Use this Google Form.
Pal-Mac Middle School
Time: In order to make this opportunity as personalized as possible, your scheduled time for orientation is based on your last name.
Please follow the times below:
3:00-3:40- A-I
3:40-4:20 J-Q
4:20-5:00 R-Z
What to expect: Families will be greeted and welcomed by principals and school counselors in the main hallway at the designated time: 3:00, 3:40, or 4:20. Families will go to the LGI for a brief welcome presentation. Please be courteous of the established time frame so all families may meet with teachers.

Developmental teachers will be available to meet students during the 7th and 8th grade Meet and Greet on Wednesday, August 31 from 5:00-6:30pm. 6th Grade Core teachers will not be at the 7th and 8th grade Meet and Greet but will be available for individual conferences that will be scheduled after the start of the school year.
Pal-Mac Intermediate School
Time: 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.
What to expect: Our intention is that it is a time focused on building relationships and helping third graders feel more confident and comfortable at PMI. Families can come and go as they are able within the hour.
It is going to be a casual time for families to come to school, see the classroom, drop off any supplies and medications, get technology support from one of our tech team members, and take a tour of the school with one of our fifth grade students.
We will be sending a flier home to families through Parent Square with this information soon.
