At the direction of the Wayne County Department of Health and in alignment with the county declaring a State of Emergency, Wayne County School Districts, including the Palmyra-Macedon Central School District, have unanimously decided to close all schools for students and cancel all extra-curricular activities.
Pal-Mac will be closed for students effective Monday, March 16, 2020. This is being done as a mitigating and precautionary measure for COVID-19 (coronavirus).
During the closure, ALL district facilities will be closed. This includes athletic facilities and playgrounds. School buildings will not be open for access.
Please monitor this page for the latest updates and information.
Student Meal Program
The district continues to provide free meals to students in need during the school closure. Lunch and breakfast (for days on which school would normally have been in session) will be available free of charge to every Pal-Mac student, regardless of whether the student normally qualifies for free or reduced-price meals.
Families can use the survey form at palmaccsd.org/food to sign-up for meal service if they have not already done so.
In an effort to minimize personal contact, and increase social distancing, the meal service schedule will change effective Monday, March 30. The district will serve multiple meals at a time therefore reducing days of service per week.
Beginning Monday, March 30, meal service will occur on Monday and Wednesday only as noted below:
Monday, March 30: 2 lunches and 2 breakfasts per student
Tuesday, March 31: No meal service
Wednesday, April 1: 3 lunches and 3 breakfasts per student
Thursday, April 2: No meal service
Friday, April 3: No meal service
Meal pick-up will continue to occur outside of the Pal-Mac High School main entrance (151 Hyde Parkway, Palmyra) between 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. per the schedule outlined above. Please pull up along the curb near the main entrance flagpoles and remain in your vehicle. Someone will bring the meals to you.
Note that meal service will continue on Mondays and Wednesday over the Spring break (April 6, 8 and 13).
For assistance with the online form, or with questions about the program, please call 315-597-3407. Please leave a message if no one answers.
