Welcome to the Primary School!
I am very proud to be the Principal of the Primary School and to be given the unique opportunity to work with a wonderful staff to create an early childhood educational program for the children and families of the Palmyra-Macedon Central School District.
My adventures in education began as a fourth grade special education teacher in the West Irondequoit CSD. I then went to Victor to serve as an Assistant Principal at Victor Primary School. That experience led to being the Principal of Walt Disney Elementary School in the Gates-Chili CSD. I was in my fifth year as Principal when the opportunity to lead a newly formed primary school presented itself. Now, here I am.
I grew up in the small town of Weedsport, NY not too far away from Palmyra. Most folks know Weedsport as EXIT 40 on the thruway or for Sunday Night DIRT track racing. I traveled down the road to receive both my Bachelor and Masters Degrees from Nazareth College where I earned certifications in ART K-12, Special Education K-12, and Elementary Education preK-6. My administrative certification was completed at SUNY Brockport. Now, I call Palmyra my home.
My wife and two children are my biggest interests. Some of my other interests are fishing and I love NASCAR. So, besides finding me at school, I can be found down the road fishing at "mud creek" wearing Dale Jr gear. Go JR!
Those are just a few facts about me. I also want families to know that I am committed to the education of their children. I believe the biggest and greatest impact we have on children are in the primary years. My goal is to provide an environment for children to become critical thinkers, learn through play, be problem solvers, embrace literacy, and have a love of learning that will forever help them learn about the world around them.
I work hard with faculty and staff to make decisions in the best interest of students. If you ever have a question or concern about the educational program being provided to your child, please feel free to contact me through the main office or through the email address provided below.
If you are new to the District or thinking about moving into the District, I also invite you to contact the office or myself for a guided tour of the school and to learn about our programs.
Thank you for visiting us on the web and getting to know a little about me.
