It is an honor to serve as the building principal of the Palmyra Macedon Intermediate Building (PMI). Each day I have the honor of working alongside our amazing students and an incredibly talented staff. My professional goal is to help each student reach their full potential as a learner and as a person. Establishing and maintaining positive relationships is an integral part of achieving this goal. It is my job to serve and support our students, staff and families. In addition to being the building principal, I consider myself to be the lead learner. I love learning and am always striving to keep current on issues surrounding education. We are always looking to improve our practices and that means continuing to learn and try new things.
Prior to joining the PMI family, I was an assistant principal, classroom teacher and athletic coach. I lived in the Finger Lakes region growing up and graduated from Geneva High School. From there I attended college at Finger Lakes Community College, Alfred University and The College at Brockport. In my spare time, I love to travel, spend time with family, cook, watch sports and I try to be physically active every single day. Many of these activities I do with my wonderful wife, Marisa and our daughter Elle Marie.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if there is something that I can to do help you or your child. Additionally, do not hesitate to say hello if you see me in the building, at district events or just around the community.
Mr. Christopher Barnard
