• School Closings/Delays:

    At the direction of Governor Andrew Cuomo, all school districts in the State of New York will remain closed for the rest of the academic year.

The Palmyra-Macedon Central School District will be bursting with school spirit beginning Monday, September 30 as Homecoming Week festivities kick off throughout the district and run through Saturday, October 5.


Each day during the school week will feature a different dress up theme.  To start on Monday, September 30, it will be Mismatch Monday with Let’s Make a Deal Day taking place at the high school. Tuesday, October 1 will be Tropical Tuesday, a day to dress as if you are on a tropical island.  Wednesday will be time to dress like you are going to a rodeo with the theme of Western Wednesday. Thursday will feature a district-wide pep rally when all students and staff throughout the district are encouraged to wear Pal-Mac gear and be #PalMacProud.  The week will conclude on Friday with Fan-Frenzy Fanatic Friday, a time to wear the gear of favorite teams. A pep rally will also take place at the high school on this day.


Friday evening, October 4, will offer a host of family-fun beginning with food trucks in the high school parking lot at 5 p.m. and concluding at 7 p.m.  Food trucks scheduled to be on-site with food for purchase include The Meatball Truck, Dino’s Dog Wagon, El Marro and Sugary Delights/Snowie WNY.


The annual Homecoming parade will get rolling promptly at 6 p.m. on Friday with the parade set to follow a familiar route with it traveling from the Wayne County Fairgrounds to the high school football field.  Class floats will return this year with each class showing off a Disney-themed float. The community is encouraged to come out and show off its Pal-Mac spirit during the parade which is always a highlight of the week’s events.


Immediately following the parade, the Red Raider Tailgating party will get underway and run until 7:30 p.m.  The event will feature fun and games for the whole family.


At 7 p.m., the Red Raider football team will face off against Geneva.  Halftime of the game will feature a fireworks show, which should commence around 8:15 p.m.


Saturday will be packed with athletic activities as a host of Red Raider teams will be in action.  Below is a schedule of events set for Saturday.


Saturday, October 5

9 a.m. - Girls Tennis

11 a.m. - Swimming

11 a.m. - Girls JV Soccer

12 p.m. - JV Volleyball

1 p.m. - Girls V Soccer

1:30 p.m. - Varsity Volleyball

3:30 p.m. - Boys JV Soccer

5:30 p.m. - Boys Varsity Soccer 


On Saturday, a food truck, Riblicious BBQ, will be located in the high school parking lot area from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for those attending the various Homecoming events throughout campus.
