Welcome to Ms. Horton’s Health and Family & Consumer Science class! A little note about me: We have combined our Health & FACS class and I think teaching both is the best of both worlds. I received my Bachelors in Health and Human Services from SUNY Buffalo and my Masters in Health Education at SUNY Brockport. I am dually certified in FACS and Health. I truly love being here at Pal-Mac and being able to teach practical, hands-on skills to our students. My hope is that they will truly enjoy the work they do in my class and will continue to use the skills they have learned in the classroom, outside of the classroom as well. I feel that all students can learn and excel in this course. My goal is to provide a challenging, yet safe atmosphere which is centered around mutual respect. Outside of teaching, here at school I coach modified volleyball and softball, I am the co-advisor for National Junior Honor Society, a representative on the Pal-Mac Way committee, I am a student mentor, and I try to chaperone athletic events as much as possible. I enjoy being able to interact with the students outside of the classroom setting and seeing them excel outside of the classroom as well as inside of it. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. Email: christine.horton@palmaccsd.org Phone: 315-597-3450 ext. 2054
