Grading in Science

Class work and Homework

Completing class work and homework is an important part of education.  Class work and homework that is not turned in when it is due may have a grade deduction.

 

Quizzes

Quizzes will cover all material in the unit to that point.

 

Projects

Projects allow students to show what they have learned, or increase their learning through research.  Projects may include essays, posters, presentations, or group projects. 

 

Labs

Labs are used in the science class to give students the chance for hands-on learning.  They also let students expand on their understanding of how different systems or processes work.

 

Test

Tests will cover all materials in the given unit.

 

Missed assignments

When students are absent, it is THEIR responsibility on their return to pick up missed work.
