School Island® is a web site for students and teachers, providing content review and skill assessment activities for Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts. Instant feedback and progress reports pinpoint a student's strengths and weaknesses. Teachers can monitor their students' use of School Island and even assign sessions tailored to their individual needs. School Island is easily accessible from school, library - even at home - wherever an Internet-connected computer is available. All students in the high school have been pre-enrolled and can access the site using the following procedures:
Procedures for Student Activation of a User Login ID
1. Go to www.schoolisland.com 2. In the School Island ID box, enter pal-the first three letters of the student’s first name followed by the first 6 letters of the student’s last name. Example: pal-barpersia (for Barbara Persia) 3. SKIP the password 4. Click on SIGN IN 5. The site will prompt the user to enter a password of their choice 6. Password must be at least four characters or digits 7. Password must be entered twice 8. Click SUBMIT 9. Site will return user to the home page and students can follow directions from there |
