Delphi Prevention Counselor: Building relationships with students who may need additional support.
Students with a supportive school and family environment and strong problem-solving skills are much less likely to experiment with tobacco, alcohol or other substances during their teenage years. Referrals may be made by teachers, counselors, parents, or students themselves.
Services include:
Individual and group counseling sessions for selected students · Short or long-term, depending on individual needs · Voluntary and confidential · Goal is to deal with issues, problems, and stresses natural at this age · Learn to develop solution-focused problem-solving skills · Learn to make healthy choices
Reconnecting Youth, a credit-bearing course designed to enhance personal and school performance · Mood management · Avoidance or reduction of tobacco, alcohol, or substance use · School achievement strategies · Available to grades 9-12
Schedule: · High School Tuesdays and Thursdays, Fridays after 11 AM · Middle School Mondays and Wednesdays, Fridays until 11 AM
